Stepping into the role of an innkeeper feels like opening a brand-new recipe book: it’s exciting, nerve-wracking, and oh-so-inviting. After two decades of creating pastries that bring so much joy, I decided to add a new chapter to my culinary journey: transforming from a pastry chef into an innkeeper!

Waking up as an innkeeper feels like starting each day with a blank canvas. My kitchen becomes a stage where I perform my morning ritual, literally dancing in the scents of fresh scones and muffins. Each pastry is a piece of my heart, lovingly created, and a symbol of warmth and hospitality. There's magic in knowing that my hands bring comfort to travelers from all over the world, turning breakfast into a memorable Yosemite experience.

And as I say good morning to each guest, I'm reminded that food is a universal language, one that I'm thrilled to speak with such passion. I'm excited for the future of Big Creek Inn, where baking for guests becomes a cherished tradition.
